Tarpon Futbol Club/Tarpon Springs Youth Soccer Association (Tarpon FC/TSYSA) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt youth sports organization corporation. Tarpon FC is affiliated with Florida Youth Soccer Association, the statewide youth soccer organization for Florida.

Tarpon FC's goal is to provide a fun, safe, and educational soccer environment, for youth players ages 4 to 18. Our board of directors is committed to providing each child with an environment that instills and nurtures a love of the game. Developing technical skills, fitness, team play, and "just having fun", are our objectives for the children.

Our league is comprised of approximately 600 players and coaches. The Tarpon Sports Complex on Jasmine Ave., is our "home" site. We also utilize several other City of Tarpon Springs sports facilities. The league enjoys a very cooperative and beneficial relationship with the City of Tarpon Springs. Due to the City's first-class maintenance staff, we have some of the finest fields in all of Florida.

PROGRAMS OFFERED

In-house Recreational Program - The recreational program includes the U6 and U8 "in-house" teams. These are coed teams consisting of the 4, 5, 6 and 7 year olds. Teams play "small sided" games (5 or 6 players per team on the field). These teams are called "in-house" because there are enough teams within our league to enable them to play against each other. This eliminates the need to travel to other fields. All games are played on Saturday (usually in the morning) at Tarpon Sports complex.

Traveling Recreational Program - This group includes the U10, U12, U14, U16, and U19 teams. All traveling teams are separated into boys and girls teams. Teams play approximately half of their games at home and half away.

The season for all Recreational teams starts in early November and concludes in late February. All games are played on Saturdays. There are no league games scheduled on the Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years weekends. Registration is held during late August/early September. REMEMBER: "Back to school, back to soccer!". Specific dates, times, locations, etc. will be posted on this site when available.

Academy Program - Tarpon FC provides an Academy type program as a bridge between our Traveling Recreation and Club programs. These teams are comprised of our athletes that are in transition and have developmental status. We concentrate on the technical aspects of the game to prepare them to enter our Club program.

Competitive (Club) Program: Tarpon FC also provides a quality competitive program. This program is for the serious player, seeking a higher level of play and training. Our philosophy is to develop the player's individual and team skills, in a positive and constructive atmosphere. We feel that this encourages a love of the game, translating into a solid work ethic, that maximizes player development and performance.

Teams are selected through an annual tryout process. Tryouts are held in late May and early  June. Professional training and instruction are provided to all our competitive teams.
