Coerver Academy at Tarpon is pleased to announce a working relationship with Coventry City Ladies Football Club and their Centre of Excellence.
Tarpon Springs, FL May 26, 2009 -- Coventry City Ladies' Terry Harvey seemed excited at the prospect of a connection in the USA. “I very much hope we can work together to improve access for players to move freely across the two clubs now and in the future’” commented Terry.
An exciting aspect to this partnership is the opportunity for Coerver Academy Ladies to receive a Scholarship at Coventry. David Singleton the chairman of CCLFC added “I have a relationship with Coventry University who will offer scholarships for high performing female students, who can also play for Coventry City Ladies”.
Coerver Academy Ladies will have an opportunity to open up the lines of communication with players from CCLFC when they return to training in July, at that time we will see some content on the Coerver Tarpon web site as CCLFC players begin to blog and give us an idea of what it is like to live and play in the UK. Tarpon DOC John Orr sees this as a tremendous opportunity for players at both clubs, “This is especially exciting for me as a Coventry lad, they have a great set up at CCLFC, we will be able to learn a great deal from them as we develop this relationship further”
