Get more involved in your soccer community by volunteering! We have lots of opportunities and a variety of positions to fill. Something for everyone! 

Coach
Our head coaches lead their teams in practices, drills and games to teach the basics of soccer and enjoyment of the beautiful game. They support positive coaching values, provide the opportunity for skill improvement for kids of varied ability on their team, encourage good sportsmanship, FUN and a love of the game. Most volunteer coaches are parents of a child on the team. Some knowledge of club and league policy regarding positive coaching is required. Tarpon FC will provide coaching materials, support and advice. One head coach per team is eligible for the $30 Volunteer Refund. 

Coach - Assistant
The assistant coach supports the head coach at practices and games throughout the season and fills in for the coach as necessary. One assistant coach per team is eligible for the $30 Volunteer Refund. The coach may request general assistance from other parents on the team as needed throughout the season.

Team Manager
Each team needs a team manager. The team manager formulates/distributes the snack schedule, plans the end-of-the-season party and serves as the communications person for the parents. This person should be available to assist the coach, so the coach can focus energy on coaching, hauling equipment, and so forth. One Team Manager per team is eligible for the $30 Volunteer Refund.

Concession Stand
We are always in need of volunteers in the concession stand. Volunteers are responsible for waiting on customers, keeping items stocked during games, re-stocking items at the end of the day, grilling food (if necessary), putting grills away, emptying trash cans (inside only). 

Apparel Sales
Volunteers are responsible for organizing apparel on provided tables, assisting customers in the selection of appropriate sizes, re-stocking items as needed, packing up apparel at the end of the day in bins provided.  

All volunteers need to complete the FYSA Coach / Volunteer background check.  Please email registrar@tarponfc.com to obtain a link along with the instructions to complete this.

COMPETITIVE

This is optional.  There is a $50.00 volunteer deposit in your registration fees.  If you perform five hours of volunteer service during the season than you can apply to get this volunteer deposit refunded.  

However, there is a requirement that each team have a parent in the concession stand during a scheduled home game.  This is separate from the five hours required to receive the refund of the volunteer deposit.

RECREATIONAL

This is optional.  There is a $30.00 volunteer deposit in your registration fees.  If you perform five hours of volunteer service during the season than you can apply to get this volunteer deposit refunded.

Once you have completed the five hours of volunteer service please submit the appropriate form to receive your refund.
